アジア太平洋地域の歴史的資産と文化的景観保全の今後に向けて

Purpose:

Heritage studies is a rising discipline in the Asia Pacific region while corresponding conservation and management work also continues to capture the public’s attention. Yet, the unique history and traditional culture of the Asia-Pacific region is challenged by diverse theories and practices of cultural heritage conservation. What should be preserved and how? Is it appropriate to adopt Western preservation theories? Do our theories of preservation have universal application? There is an urgent need to discuss these questions and to reach a common understanding.

Against this background, this international conference will: provide international cultural heritage conservation specialists with a platform for dialogue to explore the theoretical basis of many topics, including the historical context, traditional value, and landscape system of cultural heritage in the Asia-Pacific region; to set forth management topics faced by evolving heritage landscapes in the process of urbanization; to interpret and devise a system of values for cultural resources; to explore models, techniques, classification systems, and management methods for the sustainable development of cultural resources; to probe values assessment methods and technical approaches to cultural resources in East Asia; and, to examine collective conservation management principles in the Asia-Pacific region. We look forward to building on our knowledge and experience in the field of international cultural heritage conservation.

会议目的：

       文化遗产学在今天已经成为了亚太地区的新兴学科之一，其相应的保护与管理事务的推进也持续聚焦着公众的强烈关注。然而，拥有独特历史进程与文化传统的亚太地区，在面对多样化的文化遗产保护课题进行理论探索与实际操作的同时也陷入了深深的困惑之中。应当保护什么？怎么保护？照搬西方的保护理论是否合适？我们自己的保护理论是否具有普世价值？这些问题都亟待讨论并达成共识。

       基于以上认识，此次国际研讨会将为从事文化遗产保护事务的国际专家构建一个对话的平台，对亚太地区文化遗产资源的历史文脉、传统价值、景观系统等议题进行理论化的梳理；阐述城市化进程中持续演进的遗产景观所面临的管理议题；解读和建构文化遗产资源的价值体系；探索文化遗产资源可持续发展的模式与技术、分类体系和管理方法；探讨东亚地区文化遗产资源的价值评估方法与技术方法；探索亚太地区共通的保护管理准则，以期对国际文化遗产保护事业贡献我们自己的经验与智慧。
